A beautiful holiday setting in Charente Maritime

The property is a traditional Charentais style farmhouse situated in the Department of Charente Maritime in the south of the Poitou Charente Region. It was built towards the end of the 19th Century and is located in a tiny hamlet surrounded by vineyards and sunflower fields. Whilst quiet and tranquil it is easily reached from the A10 autoroute and 10 minutes from 2 good supermarkets.

The house is just under an hour north of Bordeaux and the nearest major coastal town is Royan. The beach at St Georges de Didonne is around 20 minutes away, it is sheltered, sandy, gently sloping and great for families. Alternatively a short drive further up or down the coast gives access to Atlantic breakers and is great for body boarding and surfing.
