The House

The house has 2 en suite double bedrooms, one twin bedroom, another with bunk beds and a single bed, a further double bedroom and a large family bathroom. In addition the downstairs breakfast room has a futon and a small bathroom. In total the property can sleep up to 13.

Downstairs comprises a large sitting room with fireplace and log burner, entrance hall and a spacious family dining kitchen with fully fitted units including a range style cooker, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Adjacent is a breakfast room/lounge and a utility room with washing machine. 

We have satellite freeview television and by prior arrangement a pool measuring 3m x 6m x 1m deep can be added.

The property is set in around ¼ of an acre and has 3 adjoining barns and a large shaded seating and barbecue area. One of the barns is a games room containing table football, and snooker and table tennis tables. There is plenty of parking and a large lawned area all of which is securely walled and gated.

The property has been sympathetically renovated to expose as much natural stone and timber as possible and to retain its traditional features whilst providing contemporary fittings and household features.

As well as beaches Royan is around ½ an hour away, Bordeaux is only an hour away, which is well worth a visit, the historic towns of Pons and Saintes are close by, Cognac and its famous distilleries are less than ½ an hour away and the zoo at La Palmyre is a great family day out.

FACILITIES

Everything is there you would expect to find. We have a washing machine, dish washer, a large fridge with freezer compartment, a large electric oven with 5 ring gas hob, the boiler is effectively a combi – giving hot water on demand. There is central heating, hopefully this shouldn’t be necessary!

We have a good selection of books for holiday reading and family dvds.

Outside we have a barbecue and shaded area with tables, chairs and sun loungers as well as the games room.
